Assignments to have been completed for this week

  • Due Tues. Nov. 9: Peer Edit 2 peer's graphs, and post to document's page.
  • Write the Paper!!!!!! Use the Rubric on page 103-104 (bottom page number) as your guide, but ignore the number values, although they do represent proportionally how much each section is worth!
  • Bring with you to class TWO PAPER copies of your complete research paper. We will spend class time peer editing.

    • Personal Reflection, if in a group, each person writes their own, and both are included in the final paper.
    • Writing Tips: page 79 of manual
      • Numbers....units

Research Paper Due Next Week: Here's how to prepare it for turn in!

  • The following should all be inside a 2 pocket folder: Your name(s) in the upper right hand corner
    • Clean paper copy of final paper
    • All peer editing sheets (from your colleagues)--don't forget, they need their grade.
    • Paper copy of the grading rubric
    • Paper copy of note packet or notecards
    • Paper copy of field data notebook (You don't have to include paper copies if the most recent data is available via Google Docs and you know that I have access.)
    • If you have video associated with your research; provide a single page explanation how I can access these.


Research Project Topic: Peer Editing Scientific Paper

  • Page 99-102 in your Handbook....
  • Skim entire paper first
  • Then break it down, using the peer editing sheets
